 SSC MTS EXAM:


SSC MTS (Staff Selection Commission - Multi Tasking Staff) is a national level examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of candidates in various government departments and offices.


Here are some key details about the SSC MTS exam:


Eligibility Criteria:


Age limit: 18-25 years (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories)

Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

Exam Pattern:


The exam is conducted in two stages: Paper 1 and Paper 2

Paper 1 is an online examination consisting of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) in four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness. Each section carries 25 marks and the total duration of the exam is 90 minutes.

Paper 2 is a descriptive type exam in which candidates are required to write a short essay or letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The total duration of the exam is 30 minutes.

Selection Process:


Candidates are selected based on their performance in Paper 1 and Paper 2.

The final selection is made based on the candidate's score in both papers and their preference for the post and location.

Application Process:


The application process for SSC MTS is conducted online through the official website of SSC.

Candidates need to fill in their personal and educational details, upload their photograph and signature, and pay the application fee.

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 100, while there is no fee for SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen candidates.

Important Dates:


Notification release: Usually in the month of February or March

Online application: March to April

Admit card release: One or two weeks before the exam

Exam date: Usually in the month of July or August

Result declaration: Within a month of the exam

Salary and Job Profile:


The salary for SSC MTS ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 depending on the post and location.
